Grace United Methodist is a seven-day-a week church in Fort Myers, Florida. People come to Grace UMC's four campuses every day for family programs, support meetings, or worship services. The church's mission is to transform lives and members are stepping up to provide leadership. This enthusiasm and can-do spirit helped this church grow from 400 to 2,600 active members. "Everybody is called to do something, even if it's opening a door or giving somebody a glass of water. People gotta go to a greater level than just going to church," says member David Samson. Eugene Jarkey is another member at Grace: "It's my medicine. It's God. It's the gracious hand of God on this building." Pastor Jorge Acevedo explains the church's success this way: "There's a lot of conversation in the church about what it means to be a 'come to' and what it means to be a 'go to' church. Come to' churches were the kind of churches that just kind of open the doors on Sunday or Wednesday and say, 'Come to us.' 'Go to' churches are the kind of churches that throw out their doors and send their people out throughout the week to go to the community. God's already at work in this world. He's just looking for some folks who are willing to partner with him." To learn more about Grace Church go to http://www.egracechurch.com
