This Week’s Storyteller is…

Paul Daniel, Melrose UMC
The Melrose and Orange Creek-Campville churches needed a new mission project.  As the pastor, I looked around in the community for any needs that two very small churches might fulfill. We knew about the Pack-a-Sack program in the Keystone Heights community, and discovered that Melrose Elementary in Putnam County did not have such a program—and had many children on free breakfast and free lunch. They excitedly accepted the opportunity for us to partner with them.  We didn't know where the money would come from, but as we stepped out in faith, the money just came in from many sources. The project has become a joint venture with Trinity Episcopal in Melrose and the local Girl Scout Troop. God is good.
