The mission of the STEP Summer Mission Intern Program is to provide hands-on opportunities for young adults to make a different in the world by serving out of a deep level of their Christian faith, particularly with children and youth in underserved communities.
STEP Mission interns serve in Christian community day camps and outreach ministries within The Florida United Methodist Church, including CROS Ministries and Grace Place for Children and Families.
The duration of the internship is 9-11 weeks. A stipend of at least $2,000 for the summer is provided, based upon completion of entire term of service. Young adults ages 19-30, who are eager to be part of God's transformative work in local communities are encouraged to apply.
Submit completed application, recommendation letter, and resume via e-mail to Jessica Weseman at email@example.com, by March 1, 2018. For more information about the Summer Mission Intern Program or questions regarding the application, please contact Jessica Weseman at the e-mail address listed above.
Training is provided to the interns at a pre-summer retreat as well as in-service on-site training by the outreach ministries. Supervision and mentoring is provided by the Conference and outreach ministry staff throughout the summer.
