Update on the SE District Office Operational Schedule

Right now the DS and Norma are working from home. But we are here for you! The District is keeping its regular office hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday. Norma can be reach via email or through the office number, which it is being routed to Norma’s cell. However, if you leave a message on the office phone she will be unable to receive it. Please try to call again, or please send her an email at flumc-se@flumc.org. You can also reach the DS at ds-se@flumc.org

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time of uncertainty. We are here to assist you in any way and welcome your communications with us.

Stay safe!

An Excerpt from Bishop Carter's Guidance for Ministry in this Season

"In order to be in partnership with others and to prevent the suffering that is upon us through the Coronavirus (COVID-19), I offer the following guidance to our clergy and churches:

We recommend no public worship through the month of March. This is in response to the Centers for Disease Control’s recommendation of the postponement or cancellation of gatherings of more than fifty persons.  Our motivation is grounded in the call of Jesus to love our neighbor (Matthew 22).

We give thanks for churches that are offering worship through technology. The conference has created a list of those churches that can be accessed here.

We encourage working remotely from home, where that is possible. We hope to make training resources available that help all of us to continue to work effectively away from workplaces.

We want to come out of the other side of this virus with strong, more vital local churches, and this will not happen without intentionality, accountability and support.

I will be posting frequently on Facebook, such as I did with this video. I will be staying in touch with you.  And know that I will continue to lift you in prayer."
