This is the old style casserole, topped with crushed potato chips.

This pone (bread) recipe is native to Nicholas County, West Virginia. Aunt Virginia makes one for all family reunions. This pone is sweeter than regular corn bread.

Spicy shrimp dinner. Serves 4.

This is a great salad to serve anytime of the year, but especially nice in the Fall (Thanksgiving) or Winter (Christmas). It has become a family holiday salad.

Avocados have lots of vitamins in them, like Vitamin E, K, C, B6, potassium, etc. But they are higher than other fruit in fat.

The avocado replaces butter and is much healthier for you.

Mouthwatering venison chili. This should be cooked in a crock pot. I have friends in New York that bring the best venison every year.

My mother made this recipe for many years. She loved it and so do we. I have been making it also for years. It is a fairly large recipe, but keeps a week in refrierator.

Tilapia is relatively inexpensive and readily available, which allows for preparing this dish for a large gathering.

For me, these are so retro. Our Mom started making them to feed a lot of people with tuna, and we loved them. Then, she taught us how to make them, and voila, she had daughters making dinner!

The raisins and nuts can be optional, depending on your tribe's preferences.
