German Hamburgers (Fricadela)

Hearty and filling......

German Hamburgers
Serves 4

1 lb ground sirloin
1 lb ground veal
2 slices white bread
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
Minced onions to taste
1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
Salt & pepper

Soften bread in milk and egg.  - add meat and mix - will be soft - add seasoned bread crumbs, onion, salt and pepper.
Make THICK burgers manually.  Brown in pan with minced onions.  Cook meat approximately 20 minutes uncovered.
Remove meat and place in oven to keep warm. Make gravy using pan with juice from burgers and adding mushrooms for taste.

Serve with mashed potatoes
