Chili #3

My husband's favorite chili recipe!



Vegetable cooking spray
1 pound ground round
1 cup chopped onion
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 15-ounce can no-salt-added kidney beans, undrained
1 14.5-ounce can no-salt-added stewed tomatoes
2  8-ounce cans no-salt-added tomato sauce
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon pepper
7 tablespoons nonfat sour cream
Sliced green onions (optional)

Coat a large saucepan with cooking spray;  place over medium-high heat until hot. Add meat, onion, and garlic, and cook until the meat is browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well and return mixture to pan.  Add beans and the next 8 ingredients (beans through pepper); still well. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve with sour cream. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired.
