Cabbage Rolls #2

A meal in one recipe. Yum!

Cabbage Rolls


1 large head cabbage (savoy?)
Hot water
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 c cooked rice
1 c milk
2 T shortening
2 T brown sugar
1/2 c water

Dip cabbage leaves in hot water.  Dry leaves on clean towel.  Combine meat, salt, papper, cooked rice and milk and mix well.  Place a tablespoon of meat mixture into each leaf; roll leaf around meat and fasten with toothpick.  Heat pressure cooker, add shortening and brown rolls lightly.  Sprinkle with brown sugar, add water.  Close cover.  Cook cabbage rolls for 10 minutes with pressure regulator rocking slowly.  Take pressure cooker off heat. Let pressure drop of its own accord.
