1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 whole chicken breasts, divided into 4 pieces, skin removed
2 tablespoons oil
2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
1 packet dry beef broth granules
1 can (8 oz.) mushrooms
1/2 cup water
1 lb. pasta shells, cooked per package directions
Combine flour, salt and pepper in a plastic bag. Add chicken and coat with flour mixture.
Heat oil in large fry pan. Saute chicken until golden brown. Add garlic, tomato sauce, beef broth, mushrooms and water. Cover and simmer until chicken is thoroughly cooked, about 30 minutes.
Serve with pasta and a tossed salad.
