Cheesy Baked Grits

Great side dish with pretty much anything!!

Cheesy Baked Grits


1 quart milk (4 cups)
1/2 cup butter
1 cup uncooked grits
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Boil milk, melt 1/2 c butter in milk. Mix in grits, cook 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove from heat, add salt and pepper. Mix in cheese and another 1/3 cup butter. Transfer to a baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake 30-45 min depending on how firm you want them to be.
