Peanut Butter & Jelly "Pop Tarts"
Peanut Butter and Jelly Pop Tarts
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup preserves or jam (any flavor that you like with peanut butter will work)
1 recipe pie crust, not yet baked--can be homemade or use refrigerated prepared crust (like Pillsbury)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll pie crust 1/4 inch thick. Cut into rectangles (about 2-3 inches). Place one rectangle on floured surface. Top with 1 tsp of peanut butter and 1 tsp of preserves in center. Brush border of dough with water. Top with another rectangle of dough, and press edges together with a fork. Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake 18 minutes (or until golden).
