Five Flavor Pound Cake

This requires a 12 cup bundt pan. My sisters have a large variety of recipes for pound cake. Which one prepared at any particular time depended upon many things like: "Who's going to taste it? How much time do I have? Do I have enough stuff for a "big one" or "little one"?

Five Flavor Pound Cake
Serves 6-8
Total Time:  2 hours

1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
½ cup vegetable shortening
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 cups sugar
5 eggs, lightly beaten
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon butter flavoring
1 teaspoon rum flavoring
1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
Preheat oven to 3250 F.  In a large bowl, combine the butter or margarine, shortening and oil.  Add the sugar and beat well.  Add the eggs and combine well.  Add 1 cup of the flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/3 cup of milk, mix.  Add I more cup of the flour and mix.  Add 1/3 cup more milk and mix.  Add ½ cup of the flour and mix. Add 1 more cup of flour and mix.  Add the last 1/3 cup of milk and mix.  Add the last ½ cup of flour and mix.  Add all the flavorings and mix well.  Pour into lightly greased and floured 12 cup bundt pan.  Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 1 hour and 20 minutes.  Remove from oven and let cool about 1 hour.  Slide an knife around the edges and invert onto a plate.
