Pound Cake

This recipe is a favorite because of the old fashioned richness. My sister, who is 15 years older than I am, felt that when I got married I was "grown enough" to have this recipe.
Pound Cake
Serves 6-8
Total Time: 2 hours
Ingredients:
6 eggs
1 lb butter
3 cups sugar
4 cups all purpose flour
¾ cup milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon almond extract
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour, alternating with milk, ending with flour. Add vanilla and almond extracts, stir until well blended. Bake in a well greased, floured cake pan at 300 F for 1 ½ hours.
