Coffee Tortoni

This is a silky, creamy dessert.

Coffee Tortini


2 tablespoons coconut
2 tablespoons chopped almonds
1 egg white
1 heaping teaspoon instant coffee
1/2 cup plus 2 teaspoons sugar
1 cup whipping cream or Dream Whip
1/8 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toast coconut and chopped almonds.  Whip egg white with the coffee: gradually add 2 teaspoons sugar. Whip cream; add remaining sugar,vanilla and almond extract. Fold cream into egg mixture. Add coconut and almonds. Pour into fluted glasses.
