Homemade Applesauce


We just got back from vacation. We picked lots of apples in Maryland. So this recipe is among those I use.


Homemade Applesauce

Ingredients:
4 pounds apples, skin removed. Cut into chunks.

Directions:
Simmer with 1 cup of water, 3 T sugar and a pince of salt and 1 stick cinnamon.
Partially cover and cook until very soft, 25-30 minutes. Pass the apples through a food mill. Whisk in 2 T butter.  Chill.
