Crockpot Roast with Vegetables

This recipe includes roast and vegetables. It is usually tender in 3 hours.
Crockpot Roast and Vegetables
2 lb roast (slightly brown roast to hold moisture)
6 medium potatoes, halved
1 onion, peeled and quartered
4 carrots, cut into 3 inch length
1/2 c water
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
Could add a can of whole tomatoes for variation.
Put veggies on the bottom and the meat on top. Mix water and dry soup mix together and pour over meat.
Usually takes 3 hours to be tender.
