Meat Pinwheels with Gravy


My mother made this often with ground up ham. It makes a little bit different meal.


Meat Pinwheels with Gravy

1 c packaged prepared buttermilk biscuit mix
1/4 c milk
2 T butter, melted
2 T catsup
2 tsp prepared mustard
1 tsp instant minced onion
1 pound lean ground beef
1 package mushroom gravy mix
1 c water

Directions:
Heat oven to 425 degrees. In a small bowl, mix biscuit mix and milk together to form a soft dough. On a floured board or wax paper, roll out dough into a 12 inch square. Mix butter, catsup, mustard and onion together. Spread evenly over dough. Crumble raw ground beef evenly over dough. Roll up jelly roll fashion and cut into 8 slices. Place slices, cut side up, on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake 12 to 15 minutes or until biscuits are golden. Prepare gravy mix according to directions on package and serve with pinwheels. Serves 4.
