Blueberry Crisp


We have 5 blueberry bushes in our backyard. So it is easy to come up with 5 cups of blueberries. But this is well worth making.


Blueberry Crisp

5 c blueberries, rinsed 
1/4 c sugar
1 T cornstarch
1/2 c flour
1/2 c quick-cooking oats
1/4 c light brown sugar
1/4 c granulated sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 c chopped pecans
1/4 c unsalted butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Toss blueberries, cornstarch, sugar together in a bowl.
Combine flour, oats, brown and white sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg and pecans in another bowl.  Add butter and pinch into chunks.  Mix until it is crumbly.
Put the blueberries into a 2 quart baking dish or 11"x17" baking dish. Top evenly with the crumb mixture. Bake for 40 minutes at 350.
