Storytelling workshop slated for June 29

Research tells us that stories help us to remember, so the inclusion of appropriate stories are the magic bullets to cure your dull lessons, sermons and devotions and help your audience remember the point you are trying to make. In addition, we also now know that millinnials need for us to present the Bible to them as a story if we want them to "get it."

This workshop will give you the tools to do that. It will be presented at Wesley UMC on Saturday June 29th, 2019, in Gainesville, Florida, is designed to help adults find Bible stories and spiritual/moral stories, research and flesh them out and learn to tell them as a story. Several types of Biblical storytelling will also be showcased. Saturday will be an all day workshop starting at 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The $25 charge will also include lunch. There will also be an evening performance event at 7 pm for $5. Those who pre-register will get both for $25.
