2020 Annual Southeastern Jurisdiction Historical Society Meeting - Aug 4-7


The Moore Methodist Museum and South Georgia Conference Archives and History Committee will proudly host the 2020 Annual Southeastern Jurisdiction Historical Society Meeting on St. Simons Island, Georgia from August 4 - August 7.  This event will include excursions to Cockspur Island where John and Charles Wesley first landed in Georgia, downtown Savannah sites where John lived and preached, and Fort Frederica on St. Simons Island where Charles served as Secretary to General James Oglethorpe.
 
Event registration cost is $90 and includes lunch at The Pirates' House in Savannah, a banquet dinner on Thursday night at Epworth By The Sea, the full day excursion with chartered bus to Savannah, and the half day Fort Frederica excursion on chartered bus. Space is limited to 75 people so early registration is encouraged. This event is open to all who are interested in the Wesleys' time in Georgia and beginning of the Methodist movement.

Lodging: We encourage participants to make online reservations here or to call Trice Roberts, Event Reservations, at 912-638-8688 to secure lodging at Epworth By The Sea Conference Center. The conference center provides accommodations with varying price points and meals are included with reservations. The event activities and meetings will be held on site and excursions will depart from and return to the conference center. Off-site lodging opportunities can be found online.
