FUMF names new provider for church fundraising needs

LAKELAND – In a move to expand services to Florida Conference churches, the Florida United Methodist Foundation has signed an agreement naming Horizons Stewardship as a preferred provider for capital and stewardship campaign support.
The foundation will refer churches needing help running fundraising campaigns to Horizons, while continuing to provide assistance with planned giving and endowment needs.
The partnership enables the foundation to better target its expertise, while providing a resource churches need, says Tom Wilkinson, the foundation’s vice president of church relations and new business.
Running capital campaigns requires “a different skill set,” he said. “Horizons has a team that does this every day.”
