On June 24, 2018 a wildfire ripped through the Eastpoint community. This quiet little town on Florida's Forgotten Coast was ravaged as dozens of homes were destroyed and families with little to begin with lost
St. George Island UMC, along with First UMC of Eastpoint, are assisting the recovery efforts in a number of ways. While giving people clothes and feeding them has been helpful, what the families need most is financial assistance. SGIUMC has set up a special fund to help the victims of this disaster, with funds going directly to the families who lost their homes and possessions.
If your finances allow, please consider donating to our efforts to help the people of Eastpoint. You can donate to the Eastpoint Wildfire Family Disaster Fund on this website at https://www.sgiumc.org
If you are unable to contribute monetarily, please be in prayer for this community.
