The time to "Turn It Up" is fast approaching

Reservations are being accepted now for Turn It Up, the 2022 United Methodist Women Assembly at the Orlando Convention Center on May 20-22.

An early registration discount fee of $330 is available through Nov. 30, which includes two lunches. On Dec. 1, the fee increases to $365.

Registration closes April 11, and proof of vaccination is required at time of registration.

Hotels are available near the Convention Center at an estimated cost of $158–$203 per night for up to four people (double/double room).

Virtual attendance is possible for those who can't attend in person. The cost is $199, available until Nov. 30.

Virtual attendees get access to all five Community Gatherings, one workshop on Friday and Saturday, exclusive behind-the-scenes speaker interviews, sisterhood networking, and more. 

Planners say that now more than ever, women need to come together to reflect on today’s challenges and find comfort and strength to move forward finding ways for faith-filled women to make a difference in the world.

The event includes multiple "Soul Care" workshops and "Leadership" workshops designed to help participants realize their full potential, and expand their leadership skills to influence their peers, communities and organizations.

Attendees will hear from top speakers, including Heather McTeer Toney,  the first African-American, first female and the youngest to serve as Mayor of Greenville, Miss. from 2004-2012.

In 2014, she was appointed by President Barack Obama as Regional Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Southeast Region.

Known for her energetic and genuine commitment to people, her work has made her a national figure in the area of public service, environmental justice and community engagement.

She currently serves as the Climate Justice Liaison for the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and Senior Advisor to Moms Clean Air Force, two affiliated organizations that represent over 3 million environment allies committed to fighting climate change and protecting children from the dangers of air pollution.
