Last minute updates on AC 2014
Registration opens Wednesday morning (tomorrow) for Annual Conference 2014, and the opening session kicks off that afternoon. Below are a few reminders and some late breaking updates.
Social media, webcasting and app
Join in the Twitter conversation at #flac2014. You can also watch the Twitter feed at www.acflorida.org.
The webcast of the plenary sessions begins June 11 at 1:30 p.m. with the laity session. All plenaries and worship services will be available via webcast at www.acflorida.org.
The AC2014 app is available for Android users. As of the morning of June 10, Apple Inc., has not yet approved its use for iPhone and iPad. Our developer/vendor, ProScript Media, has been working on this approval for several weeks. If you have any questions about its availability, please stop by to see ProScript Media at the booth in the Ministry Expo.
Special attire for AU Choir and Saturday closing session
Bishop Ken Carter invites Annual Conference members to dress casually for our closing session on Saturday morning.
According to Rev. Sharon Austin, director of Connectional Ministries, there have been inquiries about wearing African attire to celebrate the Africa University Choir performance on Thursday evening, June 12.
“I have received word from Dr. James Salley, associate vice-chancellor for Institutional Advancement for Africa University, that this is acceptable and that the choir would be honored,” Austin said. “This acceptance also applies to attendees of churches hosting the choir in concert.”
Conference staff will tweet any similar future updates at #flac2014.
