Youth change lives during a domestic mission tripMissions and Outreach
Palm Harbor United Methodist Church sent more than 60 people (middle school, high school, college students and adults) to Immokalee, Florida for a domestic mission trip. During the week the team changed the lives of many while working on seven different sites to repair the homes of those in need.
Work projects included various roofing projects, replacing flooring, drywall repairs, installing insulation, windows and doors repairs, as well as some electrical, plumbing, painting and landscaping work. The team also made time to put on a Vacation Bible School for the children of Immokalee.
The local children soaked up every Bible verse and were thrilled to learn about Jesus. While the construction work and Vacation Bible School are important, the real objective of our mission work is always to “build” relationships and make the name great of our Lord Jesus Christ!
