ST. AUGUSTINE – The Hartley Afterschool program at Shores UMC received this year's Alice W. Lockmiller Award for top educational program in the Florida Conference.

Lockmiller awards administered by the Florida United Methodist Foundation recognize excellence in educational programs and teachers. Earlier, preschool teacher Mary Lou Compton at Hyde Park UMC, Tampa, was recognized for excellence in teaching.
