An ambitious day of community outreach

PORT CHARLOTTE—Around thirty volunteers arrived eager to help out for "Edgewater-North Port Serve Day." There was ample work to be done. Together they tackled three projects proclaiming the gospel through the day's good deeds.

Service is a core value of the church at Edgewater UMC. Pastor Dan Prine is quoted online encouraging all to find their calling among the many opportunities to serve: "From music to missions, from sewing to serving the homeless, from hospitality to hospital visitation, from youth to young-at-heart, from children to counseling, from prayer to picking people up for worship, from baking to bicycles—there is a place for you at Edgewater!"
