From First UMC, Spring Hill | FLUMC.org
It was a special Sunday on Oct. 4 at First UMC, Spring Hill
, as the congregation celebrated Unity Sunday with one worship service, and all three worship services met as one in the church sanctuary.
This was also World Communion Sunday, during which all shared the Lord's Supper, joining worshipers around the world. The chancel choir, praise band and instrumentalists joined together for worship that included guest instrumentalists James Suggs, Austin Vickery and Marius Dicpetris. In addition, 40 new members took the vows of membership as the congregation renewed theirs. The service closed with the singing of “Blest Be the Tie That Binds.” Following the worship service, congregants gathered in the fellowship hall for refreshments and fellowship. All in all, a special Sunday, indeed!
