Leading Transformation

The process of establishing a vision and mission is not complete unless the organization moves toward fulfilling the vision and mission. Moving an organization in a new direction requires change, transformation.

My role in leading that transformation and renewal is to look for ways the conference can reclaim its focus on making disciples and then to institute relevant changes that move us toward that focus. One example of that kind of change is the move from CCOM to the Connectional Ministry Team. This change will empower people to take leadership in areas about which they are passionate and to which they are called and which support the conference vision and mission.

Primarily, I look for ways to encourage congregations to be engaged in ministry to their communities and the world, as our vision and mission call us to be.
