Justice and Outreach

Outreach Ministries challenge and confront churches to live the gospel they are called to proclaim through acts of love and grace to the least and the lost in their neighborhoods. Outreach ministries are community based and supported by local congregations.

 

 

God's Renewed CreationThe United Methodist Council of Bishops issued a pastoral letter, "God's Renewed Creation: Call to Hope and Action." Study guides and materials for small-groups to explore this important document from our bishops to the church are available. The letter is available in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and English.
 

 

 

The Florida Conference, through the Council of Bishops' Initiative on Children and Poverty (BICAP) has a partnership with the children and their families in Florida.  This multi-faceted ministry initiative offers Florida United Methodists many opportunities to minister to the least of God's children.

 

The Florida Conference Refugee Ministry is recognized as an Advance Special Ministry.  The purpose of this Ministry is to address the growing needs of the immigrant and refugee communities, to coordinate ministry and advocacy efforts on behalf of those communities, to educate persons on immigration issues, and to engage local congregations in advocacy around immigration issues.
