Hispanic Ministries

The vision of the Florida Hispanic Ministries has its foundation in the biblical call to go and make disciples of all nations. We consider the task of reaching the growing Hispanic population in Florida with the Good News of Christ and His kingdom very crucial.

To achieve this we are currently working to develop new and existing congregations, so they can become vital growing churches that minister in Christ’s name to the needs of the people and the communities where they live.

According to the compiled data of the 2010 census, the Hispanic population is the largest ethnic minority in the United States. The state of Florida has a Hispanic representation of approximately four and a quarter million persons. From this number, a little more than 6,300 are Methodist Christians. By 2040, the Hispanic population in Florida will be 50% of the total population. How many of the people with Hispanic origin will enjoy Christ’s renewed and redeemed life will greatly depend on the work of the Florida Hispanic Ministries.
