ANNUAL CONFERENCE

 We are now registering lay people to serve as District-At-Large Delegates to Annual Conference. The conference will be June 4-6 at Florida Southern College in Lakeland. If you would like to serve as a voting delegate, please email flumc-nw@flumc.org including what church you are a member of as we will ask your pastor to approve of you serving as a delegate. Due to the items being discussed and voted on this year we hope to get a very diverse group of delegates. If you want more information, please speak to your pastor or call our office at 850/386-2154.

 

CAREER FAIR

You are invited to the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home in Enterprise Saturday, February 15, 9 AM – Noon for a Career Fair. (775 Jacob Brock Avenue, Enterprise, 32725). They are seeking qualified candidates to fill many open positions including Residential Manager, Campus Security, Montessori & Preschool Teachers, Contemporary Youth Worship leader, Cook, Truck Driver and Bilingual team members. CAMP CELEBRATION NIGHT

Please join the collaborative event of the Warren Willis Camp & Conference Center and FSU Wesley on Wednesday, February 19th, 6:30 – 8:00 PM.  FSU Wesley will be hosting a night for local youth groups to learn about and celebrate our summer camp ministry. There will be games and worship led by the FSU Wesley students and staff and a special sneak-peek of the Summer Camp 2020 theme. FEBRUARY CHURCH REPORTS DUE

Workers Compensation Payroll Audit is to be completed online annually.  Report actual payroll for calendar year 2019.  Must be completed between February 1 and February 21, 2020. In order to comply with State of Florida requirements related to workers’ compensation coverage, we ask that you complete the brief online payroll survey.  Please review your payroll records (941’s etc.) for the calendar year 2019 and complete the form as accurately as possible.  Please note that your responses will not affect your workers’ compensation insurance costs for 2020 as this updated information is simply required to comply with State of Florida regulations. 

 

GARNET & GOLD EVENING

You won’t want to miss the Garnet & Gold  Evening at FSU Wesley Foundation on Saturday, February 22, 6:00 PM. Coach Mike Martin will be the guest speaker. You can purchase tickets in person at Wesley or online at www.fsuwesley.com/tickets. Thank you for your support.

 

COMING IN MARCH

NW DISTRICT CLERGY MEETING

All clergy serving a church in the NW District are asked to attend a meeting on Monday, March 2, 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM at Killearn UMC in Tallahassee with lunch included. Assistant to the Bishop, Alex Shanks, will be sharing some valuable information about the state of the united Methodist church. Full-Time clergy are required to attend and part-time clergy are encouraged to attend. So that we can get a lunch count, please RSVP no later than Friday, Feb. 28 to flumc-nw@flumc.org (Peggy) or call 850/386-2154.

 

LAY SERVANT TRAINING

We are offering Lay Servant Training on Fri, March 13 through Sat. March 14 at Tallahassee Heights UMC. It will be Friday 5:30-9:00 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM. A Basic class will be offered with Chandra Snell and an Advanced Class – Paths to Prayer – will also be offered with Patricia Brown leading. To register please click here.
