Great Beginnings Training (for churches with a pastoral transition)

Great Beginnings is a two-part training session for all churches that will be going through an appointment transition in July 2018. These trainings will be held on May 1 & 15, 2018. We will serve a light dinner at 6 p.m. and the training will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and run through 9 p.m.

Both meetings will take place at Shores UMC, 724 Shores Blvd, St. Augustine, FL 32086.

Each church should invite the following leaders to attend these training sessions with you:

  • SPRC Chair
  • Church Council Chair
  • Finance Chair
  • Lay Leader
  • Any other key leaders or staff persons at the church

In some instances, the outgoing pastor may be present during the first session and the incoming pastor may be present during the second session.  The District Office will coordinate the invitations to both clergy. For more information about the training, please visit our website:
