Lay Servant Training via ZOOM
Lay Servant training prepares laity to be in ministry through caring, communication and leadership. The key emphasis of Lay Servant Training is equipping and empowering lay servants to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, who then go and make other disciples.
This will be a FREE Lay Servant Training via Zoom. Everyone will be responsible to purchase their own book. Click on the name of the course below to order from the seller. We will meet together and then we will split into our class. You will need to attend the entire schedule below. Certification requires ten hours of class time.

You are encouraged to take the Basic LSM course before taking an advanced course. Once you have completed the Basic LSM and one Advanced course, you will be a Certified Lay Servant.

Advanced
Requirements for renewal: You must take an advanced course in the last three years and turn in Annual report at your Fall Charge Conference.
Devotional Life in the Wesleyan Tradition Facilitator: Rev. Cathy Thacker
This workbook describes major features in John Wesley's devotional life, and it illustrates how you can apply his ministry to your own life. Structured around Wesley's "Means of Grace," the 7-week study covers prayer, scripture, the Lord's Supper, fasting, Christian conferencing, and providential means of grace. Developed for individual or group study, the workbook also offers suggestions for organizing an initial group meeting and developing a successful group study.
