Joining Hands Mission Launches New Garden Club A new faith-based garden club, Mission Gardeners, will be meeting August 6, 2019, 9 am to 10:30 am, at Joining Hands Mission at Asbury, 4204 Thys Rd., New Port Richey, FL 34653. The group will be meeting every month on the first Tuesday. Each meeting will have a short parable message. The August lesson is Parable of the Yeast; Matthew 13:33. Most meetings have a speaker in connection with University of Florida, IFAS Extension program. The August speaker is Pasco Master Gardener, Bob O'Brian, on Fall Vegetable Gardens. Mr. O'Brian is an expert gardener and manages six community gardens in the area. The group will have a free project of a fall vegetable, as a take-away project. There will also be a register to win prize of a secret garden item and free refreshments. Future garden club meetings include Raised Beds, Herbs and a trip to the Florida Botanical Garden in Largo for December. This is a totally free club and open to the public with all ages welcome. Interested individuals will need to reserve their spot by calling Tamera Mosier, Joining Hands Mission Outreach Coordinator at 727-264-1288 or 260-330-9023.
