The Florida Conference published an updated version of the Child and Youth Protection Policy.
The new policy has many changes in it that will affect all the churches in the conference. Rev. Carrie Yoder, Memorial UMC, Fernandina Beach and Corey Markle, CrossRoad UMC, Jacksonville, will lead a training for church leaders on the changes in the policy, as well as offer feedback for questions and concerns.
Please consider sending the representative in charge of Child and Youth Protection Policy to one of the two training events we are offering in our district. Both trainings are taking place on February 12th – 10AM – 12PM at Shores UMC, 724 Shores Blvd, St. Augustine, FL 32086 or 7-9PM at Highlands UMC, 1955 Broward Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
Contact Rev. Carrie Yoder with questions at pastorcarrie@mumconline.com. No registration is required to attend these training events.
