Lay Servant training prepares laity to be in ministry through caring, communication and leadership. The key emphasis of Lay Servant Training is equipping and empowering lay servants to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, who then go and make other disciples.
These trainings are open to everyone. The first class you take is called Basic Lay Servant Training. Once that class has been taken, you will sign up for an Advanced Class. All LSM classes require ten hours of class time. Once you have completed the Basic LSM and one Advanced Class, you will be a Certified Lay Servant.
To keep your certification current, you must take an Advanced Class every three years AND turn in the Certified Lay Servant Annual Report to your Charge Conference each fall.

Devotional Life in the Wesleyan Tradition Facilitator: Rev. Cathy Thacker
This workbook describes major features in John Wesley's devotional life, and it illustrates how you can apply his ministry to your own life.
Structured around Wesley's "Means of Grace," the 7-week study covers prayer, scripture, the Lord's Supper, fasting, Christian conferencing, and providential means of grace. Developed for individual or group study, the workbook also offers suggestions for organizing an initial group meeting and developing a successful group study.
Please register for ONE class. You cannot take two courses as they take place simultaneously.
