The Conference Table forum was established by a resolution at the 2002 Florida Annual Conference. The first Conference Table was held in August of that same year. Since that beginning, Bishop Timothy W. Whitaker has convened a total of 16 Conference Tables.
Why are Conference Tables important?
The Conference Table is the first sanctioned forum of the Florida Annual Conference in which leaders of the various agencies of the conference can deliberate, discern God’s will and develop for the annual conference thoughtful, broadly considered recommendations for strategic actions. Such recommendations will better equip us for accomplishing the mission of the church.
