Our Church:
Plantation United Methodist Church exists to be an instrument of God that spreads the
hope, joy, and life found only in Jesus Christ for all of God’s People. We seek to do this
through the Word of God by worshiping, preaching, teaching, discipleship, local and
global missions.

Our Philosophy of Youth Ministry:
The primary aim of youth ministry in the local church is to grow young believers into
mature Christian men and women who love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. This is
achieved through a model of ministry that seeks to do at least three things:
1) integrate youth ministry into the larger life and worship of the local church;
2) assist Christian parents to be the primary disciples in their children’s lives;
3) provide youth-centric events, teachings, and fellowship that complement the ministry
of parenting. Because of this, in addition to being gifted with youth, a youth ministry

helping parents raise children to the glory of God.
