Student/Young Adult Ministry Director

Trinity UMC in Bradenton is looking to fill a part-time position for our youth and young adults.  This will be an essential part of the team focused on making young disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world in this fast-paced part-time position.  This position will lead the Student/Young Adult ministry team; recruit, train and deploy great unpaid servant volunteer teams and leaders to grow strong student and young adult followers of Jesus Christ.

We are looking for someone who has vision and skills to engage the youth, build relationships with the students and parents by providing support and equipping them for discipleship in their home.  This person will need to create intentional outreach events and opportunities and ensure the development and deloyment of follow-up processes.  Applicants should be willing and able to develop communication strategies that keep church families informed and inspired about spiritual growth opportunities for students/young adults.  This person should also be able to identify and deploy mission opportunities across all age demographics (including intergenerational).

This person needs to be a self-starter, be able to assist in providing vision and direction for the student/young adult ministry, demonstrate a passion and commitment to the spiritual growth of students and young adults  and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, equip and encourage servant volunteer teams and parents.
