Worship Leader

The First United Methodist Church of Wauchula is seeking a Part Time Worship Leader for its 10:55am blended worship service on Sunday morning.   The worship team currently practices on Tuesday evening but which evening it meets is negotiable.   The Worship Leader is responsible for planning, coordinating and leadership of the blending of traditional and contemporary music in the worship service.   The Worship Leader provides direction to the Worship Team which currently consists of 4 musicians, two of which are instrumentalists.  The Worship Leader and Pastor work together on service design and music choice.  The current worship leader has provided worship accompaniment by keyboard, pre-service audio/visual/computer leadership, and the overheads of song lyrics, scripture lesson and announcements for congregational worship use on the large sanctuary monitors. There is a grand piano and pipe organ available.  The salary range is wide depending upon experience, training and competence.   Position is available on June 1, 2023.  For more information please contact Pastor Ken at 3387kenk@gmail.com.
