The goal of the Church Administrator position is to effectively execute the day to day administrative operations of the church including office administration, accounting and bookkeeping, recordkeeping and facilities management.  Required skills, experience and attributes include:

  • Ability to present a favorable impression of the church by compassionately and competently responding to requests and questions presented throughout the course of the work week
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Prior office administration experience, preferably in a church setting or non-profit
  • Prior experience in sensitive roles requiring a high level of confidentiality
  • Prior experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a church setting or non-profit;  ability to apply standard bookkeeping skills and accepted accounting practices
  • Excellent PC skills, including database entry, Microsoft Office Suite, Automated Church Systems (ACS) or equivalent and Google Calendar/Google Drive
  • Strong background in social media usage and strategies 
  • Ability to anticipate administrative projects and due dates and to successfully coordinate and manage related responsibilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict management skills
  • Excellent organization skills 
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and ministry teams
