Position: Church Administrator
Reports to: Sr. Pastor
Position: Non-Exempt, part time status, approximately 24 hours per week
Salary: Hourly Rate, based on experience of candidate, with annually accrued Personal Time Off
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Church Administrator is responsible for multiple activities that support the life and mission of our church – including church administration, oversight of church communication, and pastoral administrative support.

  • Demonstrates positive behaviors that reflect the church’s mission, vision and values
  • Models Christian love in all relationships, treating others with respect
  • Responds to the needs of the Pastor, other staff and volunteers with flexibility and grace
  • Demonstrates humility, with the ability and willingness to change in growth
  • Focuses on solutions not problems (abundance, not scarcity-minded)
  • Has positive interpersonal skills, communicating effectively with Pastor, other staff, volunteers, church members and guests, avoiding cliques, and potentially damaging conversations/gossip
  • Has the capability to keep confidences (having access to highly sensitive personal information of our members)
GENERAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
(A detailed Job Description will be provided by the Church Leadership Board Sub-Committee on Pastor Parish Relations prior to the Interview process.)
  • Church Administration
  • Church Communication, including Social Media Tools 
  • Administrative Support for the Pastor
  • Other Church or Ministry Needs, as Required
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College or High School Diploma Degree or 2 Years of Prior Administrative Role Experience
  • Proficient in church software systems (Shelby) & Microsoft Office Products
  • Proficient in Church Teams, Planning Center, iContact
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with excellent editing skills
  • Possesses a positive attitude, a quick smile, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, organized and good at multi-tasking and prioritizing projects
  • Collaborates well with others, but can also be effective working independently
