Director of Student Ministries

The Director of Student Ministries will be responsible for ministry to all students (grades 6-12) and work closely with pastors and staff to effectively reach and minister to our students.  The Director of Student Ministries will ensure that all opportunities for student spiritual growth are safe, fun, active, interactive, memorable, God-honoring, character building, and visitor friendly. This position will also be responsible for social media connections for the church and work closely with other staff to develop technology-driven communications for the church.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for discipleship, be an innovative thinker, technically skilled in the use of social media production software and design, and an excellent communicator.  A bachelor's degree is a minimum requirement for this position.

 

Responsibilities:

 - Communicate the overall vision, goals, and strategy of the Student Ministry to parents/Church

- Plan, schedule, and coordinate weekly student ministries, mission trips, retreats, and other events to build relationships with students and community

- Equip, recruit, train, and lead adult volunteers to assist in reach students

- Develop and promote effective small groups for middle and high school students

- Create visual media and execute social media strategies for the entire church

- Insure all volunteers comply with Child Protection Policy (screening, background checks and safety training

 

Administrative Responsibilities

Keep track of students via church database and report on a weekly basis

Maintain active and open communication with all staff

Weekly meetings with Pastors and staff
