Conway UMC in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced part-time Administrative Assistant with prior work experience in a church or non-profit environment. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for church office operations including phone, email, purchasing supplies, and coordinating the church calendar. This position also serves as the primary office contact for the church.
This is a part-time hourly position averaging 24 hours per week, which does not offer benefits. The successful candidate will be self motivated with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Applicant should possess strong organizational skills and proficiency in office procedures and methodologies to ensure a smooth work flow. Knowledge of computers and office software including Microsoft Office and desktop publishing is a must. Experience with Shelby or other church management software is a plus.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent training and experience is required.
