Martha Gay Duncan, executive director of Celebrate Jesus since 2010, has announced plans to retire in August 2014. The ministry's board of directors has expressed its support and affirmed Duncan's eight years of service, including four as executive director. Before that, she was assistant director from 2006 to 2010. The board has launched a search for a new executive director.
Duncan will continue to lead the ministry, which encourages congregations to get out of church buildings and into their surrounding communities, through the 2014 summer missions in the Jacksonville and Tampa areas.
She joins her husband, Rev. Dr. Mont Duncan, in retirement. Mont retired last year after 40 years in ministry, including more than a decade as executive director of New Church Development for the Florida Conference.
Congratulations, Martha Gay!
