Rev. Jorge Acevedo, pastor of four-campus Grace Church in the Fort Myers-Naples area and a General Conference delegate who also served on the Call to Action steering team, has seen his new book called "Vital: Churches Changing Communities and the World" published by Abingdon Press.
In the Jan. 11 edition of The United Methodist Reporter, he discusses how he used to see the church as a "necessary evil" to accomplish his mission of saving souls for Jesus but later came to esteem the church as the bride of Christ. To read his story, click here
