Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Program
Each year, 200,000 Americans experience sudden cardiac arrrest outside of the hospital. On average, only 6% of sudden cardiac arrest victims survive. CPR and early defibrillation with an AED increase the survival to 65%-70%.
AED placement is becoming increasingly prevalent in areas where large groups of people gather, regardless of age or activity, including schools, airports and churches. Placement of AED's is endorsed and encouraged by most major health organizations including the American Red Cross.
The Department for Ministry Protection has developed a partnership with Cardiac Science Corp, a recognized market leader in Automated External Defibrillators (AED's)
In doing extensive research, Cardiac Science was selected as our partner of choice because of the advantages their device offers from reliability, ease of use and technology. Their client list includes many major municipalities, airports and schools, among other public and religious facilities.
As a result of the partnership developed, Cardiac Science is offering any Conference church, school and affiliated ministry a discounted rate for the purchase of one or more AED's. This price currently stands at $1369 per unit, approximately 1/2 of the market cost.
Additionally, for every 10 AED's that Conference churches purchase, Cardiac Science will donate one AED at no cost to the Conference, which will be distributed to a Conference church at no cost to them.
Ordering information can be obtained from Ministry Protection or directly with the Cardiac Science representative, Rob Williams, at (407) 467-6016.
