Florida Annual Conference Kids Camp 2023

Registration opens 3/6/2023

First United Methodist in Lakeland is pleased to host Kids Camp during Florida Annual Conference 2023, June 8th - 10th. Our goal is to provide your children with a program they are excited to attend, while giving you that important “peace of mind” so you can attend Annual Conference worry free. 

Childcare and activities are offered for ages six weeks through eighth grade on, Thursday from 8:00am – 5:30pm with an extended day add on from 5:30pm – 8:30pm (dinner included), Friday from 8:00am-5:30pm and Saturday from 8:00am-1:00pm.  

Activities will include, worship, crafts, games, mission projects and more.  Children will be separated into age appropriate classes. 

Staff members include many year-round workers in Children’s and Youth Ministries, assisted by screened volunteers and staff from other United Methodist Churches in the Florida Conference.

Reservations must be received by Friday, May 5th.  Full payment and medical release required by May 8thDeadline will not be extended.

Age Categories – (may be adjusted based on registrations)

Six weeks through 36 months (space is limited – 12 spots)
Age 3 (not in diapers) through Kindergarten (fall of 2023)
First through fourth grade (fall of 2023)
Fifth through eighth grade (fall of 2023)

Hours Available

Thursday 8:00am – 5:30pm
Thursday extended day option from 5:30 – 8:30pm, includes dinner
Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm
Saturday 8:00am – 1:00pm

Rates – Per child/per day

Thursday and Friday $40.00
Thursday extended day with Dinner Add On $20.00
Saturday $30.00

Details

In order to secure your space in Kids Camp, you MUST pre-register by May 5, 2023.  Registration is not confirmed until payment is received and will be on a first come, first served basis. 

Once your registration is confirmed, you will then be sent a packet of detailed information (i.e., directions and a campus map, drop off and pick-up location, daily schedule, etc.).  A signed and notarized medical release form must be returned by May 8th

Light breakfast, lunch and snack will be included in fees, as noted on the schedules. Dinner will be included on Thursday evening if you choose extended day option.

Every effort will be made to accommodate food allergies. However, you will be asked to bring food for your child if they have special dietary needs that we are unable to accommodate.

Please send your child with necessary items needed for the day, including a reusable water bottle.  All items must be labeled with their full name.
