Coda's Story

The Florida United Methodist Children's Home is proud of the transformational ministry we are able to provide to the children and families we serve. While children are typically in our care for a relatively short time, we know that God continues to change lives through the work done here.

Coda came to stay at the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home after experiencing both abuse and neglect. He has been through several placements, and has been with us for less than a year. As is unfortunately the case with many of our children, he initially struggled to adjust to life in one environment for an extended period of time.  Click here for Coda's full story video.

August has a fifth Sunday, which means we will be celebrating the Fifth Sunday Offering on August 30th. This Offering is one of the best ways to ensure the Children’s Home can continue to provide the vital support to those we serve. We know that there are some who are unable to support the Children’s Home at this time due to the financial effects of the pandemic. However, for those who are able to give to this offering, please do so by going to our website at and clicking the “DONATE” button. You can also text “spark” to 50155.
